Eric and Sandy Jensen built The Off Broadway Theatre and still run it in its 32nd year. They opened in 1994 with family-friendly parodies, traditional plays, musicals, and live improv. The theatre is a 501(c)(3).
Eric is a co-founder and the artistic and technical director. He writes, directs, designs sets, costumes, choreographs, acts, improvises, and leads improv classes and workshops. Sandy is a co-founder and executive director. She handles box office, production, and social media.
The house show is Laughing Stock, Utah’s longest-running improv comedy. Whose Line energy, no cameras, no tape edits. For 2026 the company is at The Studio, 3601 South State Street, north of the Parker Theatre. Laughing Stock runs Saturdays at 9:30 p.m.
Both Eric and Sandy hold education degrees. Sandy has taught first grade at Woods Cross Elementary. Eric teaches music there too. Their son Austinn acts.
